Awesome park for a lovely stroll. My dog and I did all 3 main trails in under 2 hours. Nice and flat, no inclines. Kid friendly. Does anybody know the story with the lone fireplace on the yellow trail?

Gorgeous spot for a hike. Main path is well manicured and kid and dog-friendly; it's about 1/2 mile to the end, with some neat old ruins to look at. There are 3 looping side trails for those who want to venture off further into the woods. Approx 4.5 miles if you walk all of the trails.

Nice walking trails but a lot more rustic than I was expecting for a park. Trails are pretty narrow and only down one star because some of the main trails were closed.

Great family trails! Nice wide, level paths even my two year old was fine walking them!

I disagree with so many of the reviews. There are plenty of overly manicured and mowed trails in the area, some of them paved. The people giving negative reviews should use them. This park is great and was badly needed in this area, as it doesn't have any true preserves. This is a fantastic park for nature study, especially wildflowers and birds. There is no need to do any cutting or widening of the trails, and continued maintenance has resolved most of the mud issues (but one can buy cheap muck boots, like I have).

Everything was clean and dry the times I've been, but even if it were muddy I feel like previous reviewers taking stars off for finding mud in the woods is a bit... *eyeroll*
